The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Bertha Kanning can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Aunt Bert ...what a Classy Lady! I was always amazed at her ability to look so put together even as she aged. She loved to dance and she would tell us that we needed to find a place to dance, because it was so fun and dancing kept you young! I also remember Aunt Bert in her younger days. My sister and I stayed overnight at their house in Troy, ks. She and Uncle Bill were hard workers. Janette, Phyllis, Pat, and myself would go to the Ice Cream Place and Aunt Bert would be very firm in her instructions to get there and back. I remember her always working and she worked hard. Aunt Bert earned her days to dance and have fun and she looked like a Queen ! Rip Aunt Bert Love, Peg
