Donna Zoe Zabel, 77, of Rushville, MO died on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016 at the Atchison Hospital.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Monday, Nov 14th, 2016 at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating. The body will be cremated following the services and private family interment of cremated remains will be at a late date in the Sugar Creek Cemetery; Rushville, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm Sunday, Nov 13, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Trinity Lutheran School Endowment Fund and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com

Donna Zoe Hartman was born on April 15, 1939 in Sheridan, MO the daughter of Donald and Thelma (Dorrosset) Hartman. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and homemaker. Donna was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed rock collecting, puzzles, raising flowers, and vegetable in her garden, and was an artist doing sketching, drawings, and paintings.

She was married to Russell L. Zabel on Feb. 24, 1956 at Trinity Lutheran Church j, Atchison. Mr. Zabel preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2014. Survivors include three sons, Danny L.(Gail) Zabel, Rushville, MO, Michael J. Zabel, St. Joseph, MO, and Russell L. (Arlene) Zabel, Jr, Rushville, MO, three daughters, Lydia L. (Zabel) Kern, Guthrie, OK, Willette G.(Richard) Sinclair, Atchison, KS, and Virginia A. (Leon) Jones, Bendena, KS. a brother, Jeff Hartman, Atchison, KS, two sisters, Sue Bromley, Atchison ,KS and Eleanor Hatfield, Jacksonville, FL, twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. Her parents, husband Russell, and two brothers, Gary and Kenneth Hartman preceded her in death.
