Emilie

So sorry for your loss. I'm the evening dietary aide at the Medicalodge. The first night I worked there she tried to have me help her escape, of course did'nt oblige but she made an impression on me that night as she patiently watched people go in and out waiting for a time the door was left ajar. Lea and I spoke candidly on several occasions. She came to visit me a couple times after closing and watched me do dishes. Sometimes she made small talk, sometimes she just sat and watched. One night she visited she said she would be there for me if I needed her. I thanked her for her kind gesture and wished her goodnight. A week before her death she visited me and told me she had seen her husband. She was grieving because he had told her to not bother as if to say goodbye. She asked me spend the night with her that night, I couldn't do that but I did visit her after work. As she laid down she asked me to lay with her. I didn't but I sat in her rocking chair and asked about the little girl on her closet door, and she told me that was her granddaughter and her name, I commented on how nice her room was, then adked her if she wanted to talk about anything, she did'nt. Then she wanted to go to sleep so I left. Reading her obit she sounds like we may have been friends had we been peers. I'm glad her soul can finally rest.
