Obituary for Dolan Dean Everhart, Sr

Dolan Dean Everhart, Sr, 80, of Riverside, MO formerly of Weston, MO died on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at the North Care Hospice House, Kansas City, MO.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, May 18th, 2018 at the Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Michael Strickland officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services on Friday at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to North Care Hospice House and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Dolan was born on March 11, 1938 in Kansas City, KS the son of Jessie and Lilly Everhart. He attended Morris Grade School, Kansas City, KS and graduated from Turner High School, Turner, KS in 1957. He had worked as a yard caretaker at Lake Quivera, then at Twin City Tool & Die, Armondale, KS, then for the Fairway Street Dept, Fairway, KS and then for Russell Stover for over 20 years retiring in 1979. Dolan enjoyed walking, visiting grandchildren and great grandchildren, watching old movies, cooking and was very devoted to his wife Ethel.

He was married to Ethel Virginia Gassert on Aug 21, 1966. She preceded him in death on Sept. 8th, 1998. Survivors include a son, Dolan Everhart, Jr, Butte, MT, three step-sons, Don Schlup, Missouri, Ed Amos, Lansing, KS, Arthur Gassert, Lawrence, KS, a step- daughter, Patricia (Ed) Jones, Russellville, MO, a brother, Henry Everhart, KC, KS, fifty-five grandchildren and 60 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two daughters, Darlene Reynolds, and Terri Bean, two step-sons, Dave and Robert Schlup, two brothers, Ross and Roy Everhart and a sister, Lilly Cruse.
