Obituary for Peggy Ann Gann (Gore)

Peggy Ann Gann, 59, of Atchison, KS, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, surrounded by her loved ones.

Peggy was born on March 19, 1959 in Winchester, KS to Allen and Carrie (Welch) Gore, the second of four children. She attended Easton High School and Highland Community College. She held a large variety of occupations throughout her life, the final being at Atchison Senior Village before her retirement in 2012.

Peggy was married to her soulmate Kenny Gann on March 18, 2006. She said it took her many years to find him, but it was worth every second for the happiness they shared. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, mushroom hunting, camping, and traveling. She said the greatest memories of her life were spent with her friends and family enjoying all that nature had to offer. She loved her family and friends more than anything in the world, she would never hesitate to be there should they need her. She loved animals, both wild and her pets. Each spring she would count the days until her hummingbirds would return to the feeders and flowers she made sure to have just for them. Her heart went into everything she did, whether it be planning family events or supporting local causes. In her retirement she took up crafting and with that hobby, she made the lives and houses of her friends and family more beautiful.

Survivors include her loving husband Kenny Gann, her son Eric (Sara) Dewald, her step-children Scott (Rebecca) Gann and Kenneth Gann, brother Kenny (Jeanette) Gore, nieces Jenny (Michael) Elder, Amanda (Jeremy) Faulconer, nephew Kenny Gore Jr., 6 great-nieces and nephews, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother William Gore, and her sister Debra Gore.

Memorial Services will be 10:30 AM, Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, KS. Burial will follow in the Langley Cemetery, north of Easton, KS. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Childrens Mercy Hospital-Build your Journey.
