The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Edward Zehnder can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Brittany
Condolence: My most heartfelt sympathies to the Zehnder family. You were in my thoughts today because I know the anniversary of your dear loved one is approaching, so I was thinking about you. I want you to keep in mind the beautiful hope that is found in God's Word, the Bible. John 5:28,29 says, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." This means that you have the hope of being reunited with your precious loved one Edward right here on earth as God has promised. (Psalm 37:11,29) Jehovah, "the God of tender mercies and the God of all comfort," will continue to provide strength and comfort to your family as you continue to endure. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) And my prayers and thoughts will continue with you.

Condolence: Edward was such a nice person. He and my dad, Milton Hines, were friends. Edward was so good to visit dad on the farm & later when he moved to Vintage Park. Edward greatly enjoyed visiting and talking about old times. Edward also helped my Aunt Bertha with many outside jobs , as she was alone and he lived around the corner from her. I just today got the paper from my mother in law and learned of his passing. I would have attended the service. May he Rest In Peace.

Condolence: Edward was a very generous person who gave of his time and effort for others. I certainly enjoyed my visits with him when visiting Kansas going back as long ago as 1979. He will certainly be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Condolence: Edward was a kind person, who looked after his mother, ensuring she could enjoy her later years. I enjoyed visiting with him on the few occasions we travelled through Atchison. I am certain he will reap heaven’s rewards for his kindness and hard work while he was here on earth.

Condolence: Dear Zehnder family, please accept my deepest sympathies. I am very sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one in death can leave us with feelings of sorrow and grief. But there is a beautiful hope we can look forward to. Isaiah 25:8 says, "He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces." So not only will Almighty God eliminate death, but he will remove the feelings of sadness that come from losing someone we love, and replace those feelings with comfort and hope.
