Albert Eugene Witte, 88, of Atchison, KS, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Atchison Senior Village.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Atchison, KS, with Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Creek Cemetery, Rushville, MO. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran School Grant Fund or Trinity Lutheran School Endowment Fund and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Albert was born November 20, 1929, in Atchison, KS, the son of John and Minnie (Cook) Witte. He graduated from Atchison High School. Albert worked for Rockwell for over forty years as a maintenance man. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, serving as an usher and elder. Albert enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking. He especially loved his family, getting together for fish fry and barbeques.

Albert married Sarah Emily Smart on October 12, 1950 at Carol Baptist Church, Atchison, KS, she survives of the home. Additional survivors include three daughters, Pam (Dean) Harden, Everest, KS, Sandra Peuker, Rushville, MO, Cindy (Allen) Harden, Lancaster, KS a sister, Laverne Magers, Atchison, KS, eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and a son in law, Bob Delzeit, Rushville, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Jeannie Delzeit, and two brothers, Leonard and Edward Witte, two sisters, Leota Boatright and Opal Davis, a great granddaughter Rheagan Smith and a great grandson Jayden Filbert.
