Robert Daniel "Bob"  Corning
Robert Daniel “Bob” Corning, 76, of Effingham, KS passed away Thursday, January 04, 2018, surrounded by his family.

Memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 11, 2018, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, with Rev. Stephen Lucas officiating. Burial at Mt. Vernon Cemetery will be at a later date. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Bob was born December 5, 1941 in Atchison, KS the son of Lester and Marie (Sutlief) Corning. He worked for Rockwell as a Maintenance Mechanic, moving to San Diego he worked for the school district maintenance department and when he moved back to Atchison he worked for the City on the Mall maintenance. Bob enjoyed racing stock cars, bowling, shooting darts, hunting, fishing and his dogs.

Bob married Kathleen Ann Brower on October 22, 1992, she survives of the home. He is also survived by his children, Kim and David Blasi, Atchison, KS, Steven and Tammy Corning, Atchison, KS, Kate and Rick Jones, Atchison, KS, a step-children, Edward Besosa, Fort Bragg, CA, and Cindy and Timothy Herrod, Savannah, MO, a brother, Lester Gene Corning, Cusseta, GA, a sister, Darla Grove, San Diego, CA, seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter and a great grandson.
