Wanda B. Hisle, 97, Atchison, KS, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Atchison (KS) Senior Village.

Graveside Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery, Atchison, with her grandson-in-law, Rev. Paul Ort, officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Christian Church. Wanda Bebe Yahn was born November 12, 1919 in Atchison, the daughter of William F. and Octa (Hulett) Yahn. Wanda graduated from Atchison High School and attended the former St. Louis Business College in Atchison. Wanda was a homemaker and bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Hisle Construction. Wanda enjoyed making rag rugs; needlework, gardening, and her collection of Indian relics are on display at the Atchison County Historical Museum. Wanda was the oldest member of the Atchison First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ.

Wanda and William Charles ‘Dub’ Hisle were married on November 22, 1940 at Platte City, MO. After sixty-five years of marriage, he preceded her in death on August 25, 2006. Wanda was also preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Henry Webb.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen Sue (Jerry) Hundley, Lawson, MO and Sally Susan Webb, Atchison; sister, Billie L. (Butch) Fisher; ten grandchildren, Curtis (Rose) Webb, Kory (Ann) Webb, Tohnya (Rod) Aversman, all of Atchison, Spring (Paul) Ort, Egg Harbor City, NJ, Jerry Hundley, Jr., Niki Hundley, and Christian Hundley, all of Lawson, Sunshine(Damien) Wible, Platte City, MO, Temple Hundley and Noel Hundley, both of Smithville, MO; eight great grandchildren, Hank Webb, Jake Webb, Abby Webb, Corby Aversman, Riley Aversman, Alicia Ort, Jessicia (Scott) Rodeheaver, Ethan Gates; two step great grandchildren, Gevin Wible and Jordan Wible; one great great granddaughter, Emma Myers.
