Nadine Lea Blakley, 91, of St. Joseph, MO died Thursday, May 04, 2017 at Riverside Place, St. Joseph, MO.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 6th, 2017 at the Sugar Creek Christian Church with Rev. Keith Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Rushville, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until time of service on Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to Mosaic Hospice and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, who is handling the arrangements. Nadine was born on May 7, 1925 in Forbes, MO the daughter of William G. and Edna P. (Guyer) Vandever. She attended Forbes Grade School and Rushville High School. Nadine spent most of her life as a homemaker and housewife. She was married to William O. Blakley on Oct. 18, 1941. Mr. Blakley preceded her in death on July 6, 2014. Mrs. Blakley was a member of the Rushville Christian Church, and enjoyed sewing, embroidery, cross-stitch, and reading.

Survivors include a son, Bill L. (Patty) Blakley, Oquawka, IL, three daughters, Connie K. (David) Ramsel, Galesburg, IL, Barbara D. (Bob) Connour, Galesburg, IL, and Gail A. (Danny) Zabel, Rushville, MO, one brother, Gene Vandever, AR, Eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Her parents, husband, a brother, Orvan “Max” Vandever and a sister, Sharon R. Vandever, preceded her in death.
