Condolences

Condolence From: Brittany
Condolence: I wanted to send my love and sympathies to the Ball family. I know the Anniversary of your dear loved one, Terry, is approaching. No doubt this has brought back to mind some painful feelings and sadness, but hopefully you're able to reflect on the good memories as well. Keep in mind that beautiful promise found in God's Word, at John 5:28,29. It says, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." What this can mean for you is a real hope of being reunited with your loved ones who have fallen asleep in death. So as you reflect on the times spent with your dear loved one, keep this comforting thought in mind for the days ahead. There will soon be a time when we'll not only be able to welcome our loved ones back to life, but we can truly experience the words "death will be no more." (Revelation 21:4) My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Condolence From: Larry Courtney (Bonner Springs)
Condolence: I graduated from KU School of Pharmacy in 1969 so Butch was a few years earlier. I got to know Butch from my involvement in the Kansas Pharmacists Association District Meetings. As a district director for several years, we always had our district meeting at the Atchison Country Club. Butch would always help to arrange the meeting site. He was one of a kind. When reading about Butch's passing, I smiled and laughed at some of the stories Charlie Wooten had shared with me over the years about his experience and trips with Butch and Mary. Carol and I are so sorry for your loss. I am sure his passing is a great loss for the Atchison community. God bless and comfort all of you in the Ball family in this time of sorrow.

Condolence From: Brittany
Condolence: I want to express my sympathies to the Ball family. I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope that you find comfort in knowing that one day you'll have the hope of seeing your loved ones again. Acts 24:15 says that "there is going to be a resurrection." What this can mean for you is a real hope of being reunited with your dear loved ones. During difficult times like this, we need comfort, and Almighty God is the source of that comfort. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) May you find strength in knowing that death is not the end, but that there is a beautiful hope of seeing our loved ones again at a time when "death will be no more." (Revelation 21:4)

Condolence: I don't think anyone will ever know how many lives Butch touched in his life. He was truly one of a kind. My mother worked at Ball Bros Drug Store for Max & Merle, and I can remember going into the store when I was in school and Butch would be there (training?). Mary, my sympathy goes out to you and the boys. You truly had a great husband, father, and grandfather. I am so glad he became a realtor and worked with the group at United Country. We all miss him now and will for years to come. May God bless you all in this difficult time.

Condolence: To Mary,Brad, Chad, and family We were deeply saddened to hear of Butchs sudden passing.Butch was one of the first people I met when I arrived to practice medicine in Atchison thirty years ago, he was a good friend and teammate of my high school football/basketball/math teacher, Bob Hammond. My wife Jeannie, and her numerous sisters provided babysitting services for Brad and Chad; Mary taught my wife in elementary school and my son worked for Ball Brothers while in high school. The Ball family has been very good to my family over the years but more importantly, Butch was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was very loyal to his family, friends, and community, and KU.He had incredible work ethic, countless times I called him at night, weekends, and holidays when a patient had an acute illness/event and he would meet them at the store to fill their prescription.I had the privilege of talking with Butch daily to fill prescriptions and such and we would talk about nothing but solve so much. We will miss that distinctive VOICE,that big white van, tailgating at KU football and basketball games, fireworks on Muellers deck, breakfast at Paoluccis, and the heavy coat/gloves/stocking hat until May; RIP Butch. Condolence: Mary and boys, I am so sorry at the sudden death of Butch- he will be saddly missed by lots and lots of people here. He was a wonderful person to help any of us to understand what we were getting from him. He was always working hard to keep up with his scripts that kept coming in all the time but still would stop to help someone out on the floor if they needed him to help them with something. But now he is with god telling god what pills to take and how to take them.

Condolence: Butch Ball was my mentor, when I was in my early 20's...he was funny, a jokster, and he gave me the best advise! He once asked me "What do you dream to become?" So I told him and he said..."Then do it..figure out a way and follow your dreams"...He gave me the confidence to find a way, to achieve my dreams. He was kind and sincere...with a little bit of orneriness mixed in! Mary and kids, please accept my sincere condolences!
