Obituary for Brice Edwin Douglas Sowers

Brice Sowers was born in Kansas City on January 20, 1993. He
passed way unexpectedly March 10, 2017. Brice never met a
stranger and was always interested in what was going on in your
life. He wanted to let you know what was going on in his life.

Brice was someone who didn’t let illness get in his way. He was
diagnosed with a brain tumor when he was a young boy. He had
health issues throughout his life. That never stopped him from
doing what was important to him - loving everyone and making you
feel good about yourself.

He had a pure soul and his kindness shined through to every life he
touched - as Tohnya Aversman said, “Some people are born to teach
us all about kindness, love and how to always have a positive
outlook on life”. Brice taught us that lesson.

He certainly leaves this world a better place because of his great
heart for people, compassion and caring. He will be missed by this
community but never forgotten.

Ed Sowers, his father, survives the home. Other survivors include: Uncles,James (Barb) Sowers, Teddy Sowers, Charlie Sowers, Robert
Sowers, and Aunt Bea Sowers. Close friends and family, Ron and
Michelle Urban, Jim and Frances Strieby, and Dan and Carrie
Sowers and others too many to mention.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested for Brice’s
final expenses.

Brice’s funeral will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Watkins, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12 Noon until the time of service at the funeral home. (www.beckerdyer.com)
