Iris Darlene Johnston, 70, of Atchison Kansas died Friday, April 29, 2016 at her home.

Memorial services will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 4th, 2016 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Michael VanVelzer officiating. The body has been cremated. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to help with final expenses and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Iris was born on April 26, 1946 in Cumberland, WI the daughter Shirley M. (Moore). She worked as a children’s day care provider for most of her life. Iris enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons: Allen (Gwendolyn) Johnston, Blue Springs, MO, and Mark Johnston and husband Robert L. Richardson, Kansas City, MO, a daughter, Tammy (Steven) Corning, Atchison, two brothers: David and Lee Moore, both of Manhattan, KS, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Her parents, and one great grandchild, Ethan Seymour preceded her in death.
